Minerales de Avino S.A. de C.V. was founded by Mr. Mario Stackpole Guzmán in the year 1969, starting as an extractor in metallic mineral consessions at the San José de Avino mine. In 1989 Mr. Mario Stackpole opens the non-metallic division plant in Cuencamé Durango, starting a new stage in the extraction and commercialization of BENTONITES in the region as well as ceramic and plastic KAOLIN minerals.
Today Minerales de Avino is a vertically integrated enterprise exploiting, transforming and commercializing non-metallic minerals such as sodium and calcium bentonite, kaolin, feldspars, zeolite and sea coal. Our operations are certified under ISO 9001:2008 quality standards and statistical control is a fundamental factor in our processes which begin in the extraction and reception of raw materials to the last step in quality control of our finished products. These tools allow us to guarantee our customers consistent top quality and continuous improvement. Based on our customers needs and specifications, we design and develop products that comply with international standards in the oil industry by exceeding the API and IMP specifications, likewise in foundry sand casting where in most cases we exceed the physical properties of bentonites from USA. Also, we participate supplying the iron industry, detergents, sealants, balanced food, among others.
